Rotherham United Community Trust (RUCT) is proud to announce that All About Football (AAF) will sponsor Leg 1 of the 100 Miles for 100 Years fundraising challenge, the opening stage of the Trust’s ambitious 100-mile journey from Rotherham to Northampton Town.
The walk begins on Wednesday 8th October 2025 at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, marking the start of a four-day event celebrating Rotherham United Football Club’s centenary year. Participants will travel from Rotherham to Mansfield Town FC, completing the first 25-mile stretch of the 100-mile route.
Staff from All About Football will be joining the RUCT team on Leg 1, showing their commitment to both the club and the wider Rotherham community.
This partnership builds on a strong existing relationship between AAF and RUCT, with both organisations working together on football development initiatives and community programmes that inspire people of all ages to get active and connected.
Jonathan Allan, RUCT Director of Development, said:
“We’ve built a fantastic relationship with All About Football this year with the launch of both male and female AAF programmes in Rotherham, and it’s great to see that partnership grow even further through this challenge. Their enthusiasm for supporting grassroots football and community wellbeing perfectly matches the spirit of the 100 Miles for 100 Years walk.”
Funds raised will help RUCT continue to deliver life-changing programmes, including mental health support groups, cancer recovery sessions, youth holiday camps, and the 100 Years, 100 Schools outreach initiative.
Joe Evans, founder of AAF, added:
“We’re delighted to sponsor the first leg of this historic challenge. The work RUCT does across Rotherham is incredible, and we’re proud to walk alongside them, literally and figuratively, to celebrate 100 years of the Millers.”
