This October, a team from Rotherham United Community Trust (RUCT) will take on a unique challenge to celebrate the Millers’ centenary year. Travelling 100 miles from the AESSEAL New York Stadium to Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium, coinciding with Rotherham United’s away fixture.
The challenge, which begins on 8th October 2025, will see participants walk, run, or cycle across four stages, passing through Mansfield, Loughborough and Market Harborough before arriving in Northampton.
The fundraising target is £10,000, with all proceeds supporting RUCT’s life-changing community work – from mental health support groups and cancer recovery sessions to holiday camps for young people and the Trust’s “100 Years, 100 Schools” outreach programme.
Fans are encouraged to get involved by joining a stage of the challenge, fundraising individually, or simply donating to support the cause. Every step taken will help vulnerable people in Rotherham to live well and achieve their potential.
Jonathan Allan, Director of Development at RUCT, said:
“This is about celebrating 100 years of Rotherham United with real purpose. Every mile represents the difference we can make to someone’s life in our community. We’d love as many Millers fans as possible to get behind us – whether that’s walking with us, donating, or cheering us on.”
