Premier League Primary Stars Half-Time Cup Final!
Today’s fixture sees an extra dose of excitement as we welcome the finalists of this year’s Premier League Primary Stars Half-Time Cup to the New York Stadium pitch!
Representing their schools with pride, Whiston Junior & Infant School and Thorpe Hesley Primary School have battled their way through a competitive local tournament organised by Rotherham United Community Trust, and now face off in the grand final – right here at half-time during the Millers’ clash with Mansfield Town.
The Premier League Primary Stars programme uses the power of football to inspire children to learn, be active, and develop important life skills both on and off the pitch. Now the two schools get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play on the same pitch as their Rotherham United heroes – cheered on by thousands of supporters!
Keep your eyes on the pitch at half-time and give the young stars of Whiston J&I and Thorpe Hesley a huge round of applause!
Bluebell Wood Takeover Day
Rotherham United F.C. and Rotherham United Community Trust are very excited to be welcoming families from Bluebell Wood to today’s match, and they will be taking part in a Bluebell Wood Takeover!
From pre-match activities in the Club Shop, to helping our Stadium Announcer pitch side! All of the families involved in today’s Takeover are involved with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and have been selected through the Sibling Support Group, we are delighted to be able to offer this unique and exciting opportunity to these families.
Their sibling support service supports children aged seven and over on both a 1:1 and a group basis for those that need it, either at Bluebell Wood or at school. These sessions offer a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings around being a young carer or experiencing anticipatory grief or bereavement.

Business Cup 2025
Rotherham United Community Trust (RUCT) and Rotherham Hospital & Community Charity (RHCC) are delighted to announce an exciting evening of football, networking, and fundraising, taking place on Friday 16 May 2025 at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. 20 local businesses or groups will come together to go head-to-head for a 5-a-side tournament – all to support two fantastic local charities!
All proceeds from this event will be shared equally between:
Rotherham Hospital & Community Charity – Raising funds for the Dementia Appeal, which aims to generate £250,000 to enhance care and support for patients and families affected by dementia.
Rotherham United Community Trust – Supporting health programmes for older people including the dementia group and Millers Memory Club. Raising funds to support the Rotherham Dementia Voice group and the charities work in care homes across Rotherham, reducing social isolation in older people and enabling them to stay more physically active and reduce health issues.
