Rotherham United Community Trust Win EFL League One Community Club of the Year!

Rotherham United Community Trust is delighted to share that we have been recognised as the EFL League 1 Community Club of the Year! This is a prestigious award that reflects our commitment to making a difference both on and off the pitch and is a testament to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, players and supporters who work tirelessly to engage with the local community.

This award is a result of our ambitious vision to tackle the many inequalities across the town. Our work to support community cohesion, mental health and employability were all recognised and contributed to this success. As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to growing and strengthening our community partnerships and uniting Rotherham to become healthier, happier and more active.

World Health Day  2025

Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures

On 7th April 2025, we will be celebrating World Health Day, with this year’s theme: “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.” Led by the World Health Organization, the campaign focuses on increasing efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths while prioritizing women’s long-term health and well-being.

At Rotherham United Community Trust, we are committed to supporting children and women across the Borough—offering everything from Baby Yoga to Menopause sessions. We provide opportunities for people at every stage of life, reinforcing the message that through awareness, advocacy, and action, we can build a world where every mother and child can look forward to a healthy and hopeful future.

We also run a wide range of sessions to help you Millers stay active, healthy, and connected in a welcoming environment. Interested in our Health & Wellbeing sessions? Scan the QR code to find out more!

Backing Ben for World Autism Day 2025

On April 2nd, the world comes together to raise awareness and understanding for autism. This World Autism Day, one lifelong Rotherham United fan and staff member is going the extra mile—by going bald!

Ben Bagshaw, RUCT coach, is taking on the challenge of shaving his head to raise vital funds for autism support. His mission is simple: to offer our SEND participants a fully funded trip to the seaside would offer them a rare chance to enjoy a stress-free day out, full of fun, fresh air, and new experiences.

Autism affects millions worldwide, including many within our own community. It’s a condition that impacts how people perceive the world and interact with others, and support is crucial in helping individuals with autism thrive. By backing Ben’s fundraiser, we can all play a part in creating a more inclusive society.

Ben’s dedication to the cause reflects the spirit of the Rotherham United family—standing together to support one of our own and championing an important cause.

So, Millers fans, let’s get behind Ben! You can donate to his fundraiser and show your support by scanning the QR Code!

Let’s make World Autism Day 2025 one to remember—both on and off the pitch. Up the Millers!
