Rotherham United Community Trust’s Powerchair Football Team made history on Sunday as they travelled to Leeds to take part in their first ever mini tournament – facing off against Leeds Powerchair Football Club.
The fixture marked an important milestone, not only for the team but for the wider community, as Rotherham United’s side is the first Powerchair Football Team in South Yorkshire. The players showed incredible determination, teamwork and spirit throughout the day, representing the Trust with pride in this fast-paced, inclusive sport.
A huge thank you goes to Leeds PFC for hosting the tournament and providing a welcoming and supportive environment for our players to experience competitive Powerchair Football for the first time.
The Trust is passionate about growing the Powerchair Football offer across the region and would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved – whether as a player, volunteer, or sponsor.
