Level The Playing Field – Unite For Access

Rotherham United Community Trust is proud to support the Level The Playing Field – Unite For Access campaign, championing greater accessibility and inclusion in sport. We are committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to participate and enjoy the game.
Here at Community Trust, we are proud to run various initiatives that make sport accessible to our community on a weekly basis. Whether this be our Ability Counts football teams, our new inclusive cricket session with the Yorkshire Cricket Board, or our Powerchair football sessions. Sport is for everyone, and we strive to continue making our sessions open and accessible to all.
Shiloh
Shiloh Rotherham has been supporting adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness since 1992. Our vision is that everyone should have a safe place to call home and the opportunity to live independently with a good quality of life. The distress of lacking a settled home can cause or intensify social isolation, create barriers to education, training, and paid work, and seriously undermine mental and physical health. We work to help people in Rotherham overcome these barriers and challenges by offering services and activities delivered from our support centre and in the community, including drop-in sessions, 1:1 personalised support plans and educational programmes.
On Saturday 17th May 2025, we are partnering with Rotherham United Community Trust for an unforgettable event to raise awareness and funds for our work and the work of RUFC. A family event from 6 – 9 pm will host a fun-filled evening of inflatables, live music, food and football. Then, from 9 pm, you can spend the night under the stars at New York Stadium and gain first-hand experience of some of the challenges that rough sleepers face.
