Find the perfect match for your old coat
The Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity is teaming up with Millers fans for a special coat collection at Saturday’s match against Wrexham.
The charity is asking fans to check your wardrobes and bring any old coats and jackets you no longer need to donate at the game on 19 October 2024 to support The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Coat Rack initiative.
The Coat Rack project was launched in 2022 to ensure patients leave hospital with a warm coat to wear, especially if they’ve arrived in an emergency situation and don’t have access to the essentials they need.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of staff, patients, and local businesses, hundreds of coats have already been donated and found new homes. Now, we’re asking Millers fans to get involved.
We need coats of all sizes – including children’s – provided they are clean, in good condition and have no broken zips or tears. All donations will go directly to supporting the health and wellbeing of patients who may not have suitable clothing during the colder months.
So, before you head to the match, please donate your unwanted outdoor gear at the charity’s collection point in the Fan Zone.
Together, we can keep our community warm and support those in need.
If you miss the opportunity to donate on Saturday, could your business, school or community group join companies like ERP Ltd, Gripple, Dunelm, FWD Motion and Rotherham Opportunities College already collecting coats for the appeal this autumn? Get in touch with the charity on 01709 426821 or email trft.rhcc@nhs.net
Thank you for your support!
