This Sunday, 12th of November 2023, Rotherham United Women F.C. will be facing Worcester City FC Women in the First Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup.

This will be the first time that RUWFC have played in the First Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup, and it will be an honour to host Worcester City at our home ground at Roundwood Pavilion.

Jamie Noble, Chair of RUWFC, told us “This is an incredible opportunity for the team and they definitely deserve it, they have been working incredibly hard this year and our performances are getting better and better.”

“We would love to see as many supporters at Roundwood on Sunday as possible, whether you are a regular or would just like to come out and support the Millers.”

The Women’s FA Cup match will kick off at 1pm at the Roundwood Sports Complex, on the 12th of November. Rotherham United Women F.C. would like to see the game packed out and rally all the people of Rotherham together to cheer the Millers onto a Cup win, with tickets being free for children and only £2 for adults. Tickets are available to purchase on the day.

In a catch up with Pete Jarvis, RUWFC Manager, he said “We’re excited to be playing in the First Round proper of the FA Cup”

“This is just reward for excellent performances in our previous two ties, including a last-minute win against Long Itchington Town where Maddy Wilson scored the winner in injury time. We’d love to see a big crowd down at Roundwood on Sunday as we bid to make history by reaching the second round.”

“Worcester City are a strong side and will provide a tough test, but if we can repeat the performance levels we’ve reached in recent games it should be a great game.”
