World Mental Health Day

Every year we celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10 October. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.

World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling.

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year in England, and we have made it our mission to support those who need it. Across our departments, we are committed to educating around mental health and encouraging people to seek support if and when required.

At Rotherham United Community Trust, we listen and work towards individual needs and goals. Whether it’s a distraction, a listening ear or a self-esteem boost, we are here to help people feel better through our various weekly sessions. Here are some of our weekly mental health sessions all based around Rotherham, to find out more please email health@rotherhamunited.net.
