Tidy Up Our Town! RUCT launch new Environmental and Sustainability campaign with Georgie Kelly, get involved today!
Rotherham United Community Trust are launching the “Tidy Up Our Town” project for this year’s EFL week of action, and we need your help!
From 6th – 10th November we are calling on schools, communities, businesses, sports clubs, social groups and individuals to tidy up their area by doing litter picks.
The campaign group Keep Britain Tidy spends £10 million every year trying to encourage us to keep the streets clean, but there is now 500% more litter than there was in the 1960’s. It is estimated that 2 million pieces of litter are thrown onto the streets every year.
Clearing up that litter on our streets costs £858 million each year!
What do you need to do?
Gather your troops, get some bin liners, gloves and litter pickers and choose a time during the week to get outside and do your bit. If you let us know the time and the place we will try to come along and support your efforts, we will also enter you into a draw to have a RUFC first team player come out and help you as well.

We want to see you in action!
If we can’t be with you, we still want to see the results of your efforts, let’s get #TidyUpOurTown trending with videos and pictures across all social media platforms and media outlets.
