On Thursday the 13th of July, Rotherham United Community Trust held a Meet The Trust event at the AESSEAL New York Stadium to introduce their rebrand as part of their brand new 5-year strategy!
Rotherham United Community Trust, formerly known as Rotherham United Community Sports Trust, have been a key part of Rotherham United F.C. for more than a decade now. Their mission is to use their passion for helping others and the influence of Rotherham United F.C. to recognise and achieve individuals’ goals, create pathways, inspire future generations and have an overall lasting impact on the community.
The Trust works in many areas of the community whether it be education or employability, health and wellbeing, sports development or youth work. Each department is driven to ensure they are helping to create healthy, happy and active communities.
With the rebrand there has been a name change, they have chosen to drop ‘Sports’ out of the name because as the Trust has grown and developed they now offer such a wide range of support, not just sports opportunities anymore. They want to be recognised for how involved they are in many communities within Rotherham, and how everyone and anyone can get involved with them.
Jamie Noble, Head of Community, led the Meet The Trust event where he was joined by nearly 100 local organisations and businesses that the Trust already work with or plan on working alongside in the near future. Jamie introduced the new logo, name and new website, as well as the new 5-year strategy for the direction of the Trust.
Each department of the Trust had their own presentations and Q&A sessions with attendees, allowing people to ask questions and get involved which achieved the outcome the Trust were hoping for. The overall aim of this event was for attendee’s to leave asking the question, how can I get involved?
The day was a success, and if you missed out do not worry. RUCT will be releasing a summary document with all the information you need on shortly. If you think your business or organisation could get involved with Rotherham United Community Trust, please email email@example.com.
