The Rotherham United Community Sports Trust is delighted to launch it’s brand new Primary School offer for the 2023/24 academic year.
The RUCST currently work with almost 40 schools within Rotherham and have supported thousands more than pupils across a range of education projects and initiatives.
Through the offer pupils will be able to access competitive football tournaments, football festivals, staff CPD in PE and education days for young people at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
We also have a number of intervention programmes in Maths, English & PSHE using the power of sport and football to help young people flourish in education and life.
Jonny Gilberthorpe, Schools and Sports Participation Manager at RUCST, said: “We recognise the physical, social, psychological and wider benefits of being active and we want all pupils of Rotherham to have the confidence as well as desire to take part in sports & physical activities on a regular basis.
“Primary school is the best window of opportunity we have to develop a love for sport and
we want to be a part of this journey instilling positive values and experiences alongside their school
education ensuring sport is part of the culture of Rotherham for years to come.
“We have a range of services and expertise that we truly feel can support schools in all areas of primary education from PE delivery, PSHE workshops, football tournaments, educational stadium visits, Maths & English interventions to social action projects & health programmes. “The packages are designed to offer elements of sustainability for primary schools to gain back unrestricted income to improve wider initiatives for the school via sponsored events, experiences and merchandise to raise funds.
“We are honoured to have the chance to work with primary school pupils across the Rotherham area
and hope our services will have a positive impact on our local young people and in turn the wider
community. We hope the offer is attractive to education providers and offers flexibility, if you have
