As part of this week’s Premier League Supports campaign, we are shining a light on our Primary Stars programme. The PL Primary Stars uses children’s passion for football to engage them in learning. Rotherham United delivers the programme in 25 partner schools supporting more than 1000 young people in Rotherham.

The Primary Stars programme provides educational opportunities for young people across Rotherham from core curricular subject interventions to social action projects and football competition. This academic year the RUCST has worked with pupils who have taken part in subject areas including the below:

  • Active English & Maths interventions
  • PSHE interventions
  • Reading support
  • Leadership training
  • Protect the planet projects
  • Social action projects
  • Competitive football events
  • PE support for teachers to develop confidence
  • Education activations
