We spoke with participant and volunteer, Jordan Knight to talk about how much the Trust has helped with his confidence and mental wellbeing over the years.

Education Manager, James Mahoney said:

“We are so proud of Jordan and the progress he has made since becoming involved with the Trust. He initially approached us with a determination to gain work experience within the sports industry, however after opening up in one-to-one meetings it was evident that his depression and confidence was holding him back. We have been able to support Jordan’s Mental Health through our Mental Health football sessions and also by referring him to Rotherham & Barnsley Mind through our ‘Feel Well, Work Well’ programme.

Alongside that he has volunteered to help out on Matchdays, Holiday Camps and School sessions and has recently passed his FA Level 1 Course. We hope Jordan can continue to progress and achieve his ambitions of securing employment as a Football Coach”
