Hear from one of our current Fit Millers participants, Lizzi Thompson on how and why she joined our programme this winter.
Lizzi Thompson heard about our Fit Millers programme through social media, being a huge Millers fan with her own personal fitness goals, she couldn’t wait to begin our 12 Week sessions down at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Lizzi has previously attempted alternative diet programmes in the past but felt they were very competitive with added pressure to be on the same level as all the other women around her. Here at Fit Millers, she has been supported by other likeminded women who want to make a change in their lifestyle and by doing it at their own pace.
“As I get older it’s one of those things where I need to start looking after myself just a little bit better. There is genuinely a really supportive group of women, if you’re feeling down a bit, they will pick you up.”
FIT MILLERS RETURNS JANUARY 2023
Fit Millers is a 12-week programme for men and women aged 35-65 who are overweight or obese.
The activity sessions are tailored to those new to exercise, or those who have been out of the swing of things for a while. Each week we work through 45 minutes of discussion topics on healthy eating, activity, hydration and alcohol followed by 45 minutes activity. The project is aimed at football fans meaning all aspects of the session are delivered within New York Stadium.
Monday’s: 6pm-7:30pm MALE session at New York Stadium starting on Monday 9th January
Thursday’s: 6pm-7:30pm FEMALE session at New York Stadium starting on Thursday 12th January
