Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are proud to announce our Female Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).
This will form part of our Female Player Pathway with which connects our full footballing offer for girls from age 5 to full-time education at post-16 level.
The main purpose of an Emerging Talent Centre is Talent ID: To identify and develop future potential players by providing local, accessible high-quality training environments. The new Centres will offer increased playing time, varied football formats and allow players to play for both an Emerging Talent Centre and a grassroots club, school, or representative team, which we hope will enhance the variety of playing experiences.
Trials will be held at The Sheffield Hallamshire Sports Park in September 2022, dates to be released shortly. Training days will be Tuesday evenings, from 7:00pm – 8:00pm.
The Centres will be underpinned by five key areas:
1. Better accessibility
2. More inclusivity
3. Reducing the impact of early selection
4. More focused investment
5. Providing more appropriate challenges
Trials will be in September at The Sheffield Hallamshire Sports Park , dates to be released shortly. Training Days will be Tuesday 7pm-8pm and Thursdays 7pm-8pm, venue Sheffield Hallamshire Sports Park
